Oh thats right, its a double whammy.
Actually i did FIVE art pieces today, but the other 3 are part of a set, so no looking till i finish okay~! <3 FABULOUS!
Anyway i did manage to think of something to blog about, so yay maybe i can revive my blog after all.
I took a trip to the dentist a couple of weeks back. It was pretty stupid. It was just a routine check kinda thing, standard procedure. Then while the dentist was having a lookie-loo into my mouth she gave this look. As if she could see a sand worm crawling out of my mouth. So i ask whats wrong.
She says to me "Your teeth are waaay crooked boy!"
Naturally this came as a shock to me. Sure, i knew i didn't have the smile of those kids on the darlie and Kodomo toothpaste ads, but i thought they were always average to above average tier teeth.
So i kinda asked in a surprised way "really?" And she is all like "man your jaw is totally misaligned yadda yadda yadda" So of course right now i'm pissy pants scared. And she said the words i have been dreading all my life, even more than i dread trips to Batu Pahat, possibly the shittiest town in
"You need to get braces."
"FO REAL?! IS THIS SHIZZLE FOR HIZZLE IN THE SHAZAM-MOBILE? NUH UH YOU DID NOT JUST SAY THAT GIRLFRIEND!" i exclaimed.* So my next question was "Are you sure this is necessary? Its not just a cosmetic thing?"
And she says "Oh, its VERY necessary."
So at this point, whatever control i had over my own bladder had been lost. A noticeable wet patch of yellow was quickly forming on my pants.*
She said after she did the routine teeth check, she would have her braces specialist have a lookie-loo. I said meh, whatever. I was quite agreeable at this point, because i was brick-shittingly scared and also she let me rinse my mouth, which tasted of bad morning McGriddles.
Old braces specialist man looked like the cross between a mountain turtle and an elephant who had been left behind by its herd to die. He was all hunchbacked and old, and my initial reaction was i don't want a man who looks like he has alzheimers doing braces for me.
Turtle man showed me a model of teeth, and showed me why mine were all bent out of shape and distorted. Soon my mom came in and he explained to her too. I thought i felt okay with it, but i felt like i had this uncomfortable feeling inside, you know? Couldn't quite place my finger on it. So yeah. $4000 for braces, bricks were shat, i told my mom we'd go home and discuss it.
All this time the 2 dentists were all like how i can't eat properly with my current teeth setup, blah blah.
So on the way home i still had that really uncomfortable feeling. In the car i agreed with my mom to just do the bloody braces.
But the whole day, in fact for 2 whole days i just felt utterly shitty. I spent hours* infront of my mirror doing nothing but looking at my teeth, feeling ugly.
And then finally i had an epiphany. I realised why i was feeling so uncomfortable.
"FUCK THIS!" i exclaimed mentally so as to avoid a lecture from my parents, and i marched straight to my parents room and this is what i said:
"I'm not getting the braces." They asked why.
"Because i never felt insecure about myself prior to this whole dentist mess. I never felt like i had issues with my teeth, and it never stopped me from smiling my widest. The purpose of getting braces is to make me happy, right? Well i think i'm plenty happy the way i am. Keep the $4000. Buy a HDTV."
After which i felt great. I still feel great. I still smile wide as ever whenever i see people.

See?
Moral of the story: If you feel FABULOUS, don't let retards after your money swindle you into thinking otherwise.
